My grandfather, part 4... by Dr Ram Sharma

My grandfather, part 4
by Dr. Ram Sharma

My grandfather was such a radiating sun that he alighted upon all to lift them up each darkness of their sufferings.  I remember such an incident within my life that I will never forget-- a horrifying incident too.  I was around eight years old then and during the month of June on a summer evening around 7:30 pm I don't know what happened with me exactly that night.  My father noticed me and rebuked me because he thought I was trying to copy a lame paralyzed person.  He rebuked me over and over again as I could not stand upright.  I was in a dire fit of paralysis--and half of my body was without any sensation.  Suddenly father realized the urgent gravity of this horrible situation too.  My mother was equally stunned to see my changed condition.  Suddenly,  my father tried to take me in his arm, but I was falling off to one side--darkness was all in front of m and everything appeared to be moving round and round so fast.

As this occurred in the late evening,  there was no probable chance of getting a horse cart to go into the city from my village,  but my father took me into his arms and rushed off with me to try and get any horse cart but there were none to be had.  All of a sudden,  out from nowhere,  my grandfather arrived!  He was coming from bicycle from one of his pilgrimages.  He told my father that he knew inside somehow he was needed and that this was going to happen and that is why he rushed straight away to our village.

My grandfather immediately took me inside his arms--made me to smell some leaves he presented and again,  I felt sense begin to return to my body.  Then,  after we arrived back home,  he gave me additional ayurvedic medicinal treatments.  He went back into the fields to take medicinal plants and returned to give me available ayurvedic medicines.  He prayed for one hour and after that within three hours time had passed,  I was again perfect.  This was at first a most fearful dream for me and I still remember it to this day.  This incident penetrated within my soul and dipped me deeply into the flow inside the vast ocean of spirituality from that day on.

There are countless other occurrences I have witnessed in which my grandfather saved the lives of other people, too.  He never took any money for that either.  He lived for the sake of humanity.  He had such a wonderful aura that people felt that all their sufferings had lifrted to leave them.  He never proclaimed any miracles but always presented himself as a most humble servant of humanity.

I salute my grandfather!  I have my very life now due to his kindly caring soul with a great heart!
